This is one example of some branding I have done, doing this brief was one of the REASONS I STARTED TO LIKE BRAND AND IDENTITY because I was able to use a number of different PRINT METHODS and I was also able to CREATE SOMETHING DIFFERENT AND UNUSUAL. It also gave me an insight in how to go about creating a brand image from scratch and all the collateral that goes with it.

This is an example of where I have used vector illustrations in my 16 page book, creating illustrations is something I think I have IMPROVED ON SINCE LAST YEAR and now I use in my work a lot, I think using an illustration gives work a more PERSONAL FEEL and they can BE VERY ENGAGING AND EASY TO UNDERSTAND.

and after doing this years COP ESSAY I also have started to think more ABOUT SUSTAINABLE, ETHICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES within design. And how AS a designer i CAN USE MY POSITION TO DO GOOD. Like the design shown where I created a pack that would be sent out to homes to show them what they could do to reduce there carbon footprint.

This is my personal branding, I have kept it SIMPLE and used my favorite color across the whole brand. The design is PROFESSIONAL AND HIGH QUALITY which is something I try to get across in the work I produce. I have also used recycled paper to REPRESENT THAT FACT I LIKE TO USE SUSTAINABLE METHODS OF DESIGN.

Next year I hope to collaborate more, I feel I PRODUCED A STRONG OUTCOME when in the partnership and worked really well, also working in a collaboration WILL PREPARE ME FOR WORK IN THE PROFESSIONAL INDUSTRY.

Taking on more live briefs (EVEN IF THEY ARE AS STRANGE AS THIS ONE) will allow me to IMPROVE MY COMMUNICATION skills with clients and also improve the process of GOING THROUGH A BRIEF WITH A CLIENT and most importantly GETTING PAID at the end.

Taking part in competition briefs will give me an opportunity TO GET NOTICED if I win, give me a chance to earn some money and COMPETE AGAINST MANY OTHER DESIGNERS who are at the SAME LEVEL AS ME.

I want to start focusing in on these 3 types of design because these are WHERE I FEEL I WORK BEST AND HAVE PRODUCED THE BEST WORK, focusing in on these will then allow me to also START FOCUSING IN ON DIFFERENT STUDIOS that are relevant to these.

Work Placement, (Cubic Nottingham) who are a branding agency, they use vector illustrations (RELEVANT TO ME) quite a lot and have a large list of high profile clients .

Getting a placement would give me AN INSIGHT TO HOW THE INDUSTRY WORKS and what to expect in terms of WORKLOAD AND HOW THEY GO ABOUT TACKLING A BRIEF. I also want TO GET MORE CLIENTS and START TO NETWORK MORE so I can become more well known and GET MY NAME OUT THERE.

Throughout PPP I hope TO IMPROVE MY COMMUNICATION SKILLS, GAIN A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THE PROFESSIONAL INDUSTRY and IMPROVE MY PRESENTATION SKILLS.
